Softvoyage Advanced XML™ (SAX™):
From a system standpoint, the electronic distribution of travel products involves the exchange and treatment of complex, diversified and continuously evolving information between numerous stakeholders and systems. This is why we developed SAX™, a flexible platform that act as a master control center, along with various proprietary XML APIs (Application Program Interface) which enable our Customers' systems to exchange information using the XML standard language. The SAX™ platform also enables Softvoyage to easily and rapidly:

Direct Connection:

Softvoyage has partnered with all major Canadian Tour Operators and consolidators to maintain direct connectivity either through the Internet via a virtual private network (VPN) or a direct link. Direct connections ensure a superior and simple user experience for travel shoppers

State-of-the-Art Hosting:
Over the years, Softvoyage has earned significant hosting experience and know-how as an application service provider (ASP) by offering hosted solutions to its customers. Softvoyage ASP model allows our customers to benefit from the complete range of solutions we offer without investing in the development of complex software applications and the hardware on which it resides. Our solutions are housed internally in our state-of-the-art Internet data centre which features:

Servers:
Softvoyage purchases servers marketed by original equipment manufacturers (OEM) exclusively, such as Hewlett Packard. Each of our servers is equipped with double power supply entries and connected to HP switches 10/100 Mb for ultimate performance

Internet connectivity:
Our Internet broadband access is procured through two optical fibers provided by Telus and Videotron, and allows data exchange at a rate of up to 10 Megabytes per second

Redundancy:
To ensure ultimate availability, our solutions can be either hosted on multiple load-balanced servers or backed-up by fail-over systems

Advanced physical security:
Access to our hosting premises is limited to a few persons and is also protected by a lock and an intrusion system (including movement detector). Our hosting premises are also located in the same building as the district police station

Fire protection:
Our server room is equipped with sophisticated climate controls and a fire protection system which uses 3M™ Novec™ 1230 fluid, which environmental profile, low toxicity characteristics and fire performance make it a sustainable solution as a halon replacement alternative to HFCs.

Climate Control:
Our premises are equipped with sophisticated climate controls mechanism including redundant air conditioning systems

Robust Power Supply:
Electricity supply to our server room is insured by two (2) separate electrical entries, along with an uninterruptible power supply (UPS) and battery packs to sustain several hours of electricity failure.

Monitoring:
All of our applications and systems are monitored 24/7 by a first-class remote alert system powered by BigBrother. Various alert levels ensure that our systems specialists are immediately advised, 24/7, through email and pager notifications when an application is down or experiencing a problem.

Softvoyage uses industry-leading third party solutions for both firewall, antivirus and email scan protections

E-Commerce security:
We use 128 bites secure servers (SSL), which is the Internet security standard chosen by banks to process transactions, to protect the transactions that flow through our network.
