Airline Inventory Management System

SOFTAIR™ is a complete inventory management system for small to medium air carriers.

The development of SOFTAIR started in 1995 at Royal Airlines, at that time a major charter carrier in Canada. SOFTAIR became the exclusive system at Royal to manage all of their contracts with over 45 tour-operators around the world. SOFTAIR managed electronically, through a very sophisticated network, all the booking and contract related transactions.

In 1998, Royal became, with an aggressive Canadian domestic program, a schedule airline. SOFTAIR’s interface with the CRS allowed Royal to became a true player in the schedule Airline world without loosing their “charter” efficiency.

In 1999, the SOFTAIR Web was introduced to the public (B2C) and to Travel agencies (B2B). After few months, 35% of Royal Domestic sales were generated through this distribution method.

SOFTAIR was implemented successfully at Air Transat in 1998, and certain modules of the system were installed at Canada 3000 during the same year.

Reservations:
SOFTAIR™ host server supports connectivity with all Global Distribution Systems (GDS) and the Web. Softvoyage’s technological advancements transmit seat allocations directly to Tour Operators and GDS. Reservation details are electronically returned to the airline company by the same method of communication. SOFTAIR™ reservation module allows the capture of clients’ seat selections and other special requests.

Parameters Customization:
SOFTAIR™ allows to maintain parameter tables used throughout the system, create user codes and define dynamic security.
Yield Management:
Softvoyage provides an innovative method to manage airline prices. Our “Yield Management” utility automatically assesses sales and revenues, calculating and readjusting loads to maximize revenue.
CRS Interface:Our proven interface allows automatic distribution of seat allotments to GDS and uploading of passenger name records (PNR) directly from the GDS to SOFTAIR™.
Web Integrated Distribution:Our unparalleled Internet flexibility allows both Travel Agents and the public to make reservations and select seats directly with the airline.
Accounting / invoicing functions:Maintain accounting information (Rate Tables, Supplement & Reductions, Client’s commission, Taxes…) required to invoice clients according to their sales and conditions. Automatically fax ‘Price Grids’ and, eventually, update price tables in the client system.
Reporting:SOFTAIR™ enables the creation of over 40 reports, from seats load to complete revenue/cost analysis by city pair, departure, season can be produce:

  • Product Revenue reports based on the costs (by flight and itinerary) and the actual sales
  • Produce miscellaneous reports for analysis and inventory control
  • Generate seating charts
  • Produce APNL reports
