A new generation of tools for travel agencies

A new generation of tools for travel agencies
February 11, 2026

For some time now, we’ve been hearing about artificial intelligence everywhere in the travel industry. And naturally, many people are wondering: is it just a trend… or a truly useful tool?

AI isn’t magic, and it doesn’t replace good software or well-structured processes. But when used properly, it can make a real difference.

Today, what AI already does very well is help with repetitive tasks: responding faster to requests, summarizing customer messages, assisting with email writing, and even improving internal support.

Of course, in travel, there are still complex cases where human involvement is essential (exceptions, special situations, changes, detailed rule management). But the trend is clear: tools are evolving toward much more advanced automation, especially for more standard customer journeys.

At Softvoyage, we are currently working on an internally developed AI system, specifically designed for the Canadian market. The goal is to address the realities of travel packages. This type of product requires a much more structured approach than a simple recommendation engine, and that is exactly the kind of intelligence we are focusing our efforts on.

In short, AI doesn’t replace everything, but it is quickly becoming an essential tool to improve agency efficiency and the customer experience.
